N2 Oven
An N2 Oven is a furnace that operates with nitrogen (N2) to protect samples or materials under controlled conditions, particularly when an oxygen-free atmosphere is required or when oxygen could interfere with the process. In this oven, nitrogen acts as an inert medium, reducing the risk of oxidation or unwanted chemical reactions. N2 ovens are commonly used for drying sensitive materials that might decompose or react with oxygen during heating, for chemical processes where oxidation must be avoided, and in material research to create controlled environments for studying substances that are unstable in the presence of oxygen.
